Hunting with Dave

Well i took this last friday off work and drove two hours to visit with dave Schwenderman or how ever it's spelt. along with his son Adam. We got up early on friday morning and drove somewhere in the country and started walking through the brush. we met back at the truck. well three of the four of us did we had brought a fishing friend of daves with us. i guess he shot at something and missed and then dave as we know him. especially dad. tried his luck at a long pop shot at a buck running away. so we walked through the brush to see if it was wounded which it wasn't. when we got back to dave's house there were a bunch of Turkeys in his Deer feeder so he gave me a shotgun and i killed two with one shot. that evening it started too snow. Dave headed up the hill above the house and adam and i went down the hill below. We sat in the snow for about an hour and forty minutes. adam was about 30 yards behind me and two my right. so basically we covered a 360 degree arc with the exception of the 30 yrds between the two of us. i just happened to look behind me as a tail of a white tail deer walked behind a rock pile 20 yards directly behind me. So i swivelled to on knee from a sitting position and waited for a head to appear from the other side of the rock pile. i'm pretty sure he heard me move cause it took him a good 10 seconds to move 3 feet. and then his head peaked over the rock pile exposing about 4 inches all the way down his back. i saw that he was indeed a buck so i laid the cross hairs right behind his withers if he was a horse and squeezed the trigger. clean shot and he dropped where he stood. i felt pretty proud of that shot. but we went and got the 4 wheelers and picked him up. took him to the hill where we gutted him. then took him to daves nice heated shop and skinned him down. after a day of hanging he was made into some good old steaks roast hamburger and jerky. and i don't care what dad says about deer. this one tastes really good. maybe it's cause dave feeds them tons of corn and apples? but ya. it was a really fun trip. and i enjoyed spending time with dave.

Con Cuidado

So i should have had the job this week. but one of the area administrators told my boss that though i could be the perfect person for the job, she would like him to interview at least three more people. lol he didn't like this. he said why prolong the inevitable. so we're waiting another week just to please the lady. my jobs pretty easy. and i'm thinking about trying to find a morning job. elaina isn't so keen on it cause she says thats less time she would have to spend with me. which i think is pretty sweet. but still for progress sake. we're planning on making a trip to utah in a couple weeks to pick up all our posessions. it should be nice to see some family. so i can't wait to depart. Dave Schwinderman, a long time family friend has also invited me to come hunting out at his house the second weekend in november. so thats another thing to look forward to. gotta love every turn.

Am i ready?

Well i was awoken yeaterday morning by my phone ringing. it was a heads up representative from Fedex, she asked if i had about a half hour so she could do an interview with me over the phone,so i spent the early hours on the phone in an interview than when i went to work to finish my last day of training. i had to go back to town and pee in cup. fun right. so anywho i survived and spent my last day of the week trying to suck up any more imformation like a sponge. Next week i'll probably pull some more hair out of my head trying to remember everything. it'll be worth it though.... i hope. But we are also looking forard to moving into our own house sometime in about the middle of the month so yeah for us. hopefully everything will continue to go well for us.

At Last.

Well all the excitement has finally ended for us and we are finally settling down after about a month of being gone. we got married in spokane washington. honeymooned in Canmore Alberta (thanks Smiths) :) and then finished off by spending two weeks in Vanderhoof. My wife has now seen the mother country, she would make smart remarks like, "oh you guys have houses i thought you lived in Igloos, oh i didn't know canadians used money, you have mountains wow this is interesting" so she enjoyed herself. and as for us it sweems like life seems to happen when we're busy making plans, as you all knew we we're planning on heading back to rexburg in January but a job has presented itself that is to good to turn down. it's with fedex. with full benifits and offering to pay part of my tuition. I had an interview this morning and it went well so i should know monday if i got the position. so wish us luck.

Um???????????

Well After school finished i headed home for 3 weeks that has now been cut down to 2 and a half. all the little kids have grown up which can mean only one thing. i'm old :( and can't do anything about it. i've been doing little chores around the house and working Deni's horse. who by the the way doesn't like me catching her. once the horse is caught she is just wonderful. so she has taken perminant residence while i'm here, on a teather rope. hahahahaha. i win. it's been good just relaxing. I had a part time job as soon as i got here though. mom's work was short on help, so my name came up and boom got a job. it was kinda nice. I've visited with friends, Baby sat. and worked while i was here. My Fiance says she can't wait for me to get back. she's tired of being lonely. here are some pics as always

Winding Down

Well it seems the older i get the faster time goes. i'm sure many of you have experienced this situation. Well i'm been engaged now for almost three and a half months. thats longer than any of my previous relationships. and i keep getting more and more tastes of what married life is all about. trying to make the other person happy. and sure that doesn't always work and the get mad at you for something you don't remember doing. i often hear myself say. "what did i do this time" then i kinda giggle and that makes matters worse for me. :) so much fun. but i'm also excited for whats to come. we have her dress bought. and our honeymoon booked. all i need now is my tux and to buy shirts for my brothers/ groomsmen. everything is falling into place nicely. i love it so much. the tip of the iceburg i know. soon enough there will be kids to worry about and an imature father to take care of them:) i can't wait. life looks good and i'm ready to keep grabbing it by the horns and wrestling it down.
