Hunting with Dave

Well i took this last friday off work and drove two hours to visit with dave Schwenderman or how ever it's spelt. along with his son Adam. We got up early on friday morning and drove somewhere in the country and started walking through the brush. we met back at the truck. well three of the four of us did we had brought a fishing friend of daves with us. i guess he shot at something and missed and then dave as we know him. especially dad. tried his luck at a long pop shot at a buck running away. so we walked through the brush to see if it was wounded which it wasn't. when we got back to dave's house there were a bunch of Turkeys in his Deer feeder so he gave me a shotgun and i killed two with one shot. that evening it started too snow. Dave headed up the hill above the house and adam and i went down the hill below. We sat in the snow for about an hour and forty minutes. adam was about 30 yards behind me and two my right. so basically we covered a 360 degree arc with the exception of the 30 yrds between the two of us. i just happened to look behind me as a tail of a white tail deer walked behind a rock pile 20 yards directly behind me. So i swivelled to on knee from a sitting position and waited for a head to appear from the other side of the rock pile. i'm pretty sure he heard me move cause it took him a good 10 seconds to move 3 feet. and then his head peaked over the rock pile exposing about 4 inches all the way down his back. i saw that he was indeed a buck so i laid the cross hairs right behind his withers if he was a horse and squeezed the trigger. clean shot and he dropped where he stood. i felt pretty proud of that shot. but we went and got the 4 wheelers and picked him up. took him to the hill where we gutted him. then took him to daves nice heated shop and skinned him down. after a day of hanging he was made into some good old steaks roast hamburger and jerky. and i don't care what dad says about deer. this one tastes really good. maybe it's cause dave feeds them tons of corn and apples? but ya. it was a really fun trip. and i enjoyed spending time with dave.

Con Cuidado

So i should have had the job this week. but one of the area administrators told my boss that though i could be the perfect person for the job, she would like him to interview at least three more people. lol he didn't like this. he said why prolong the inevitable. so we're waiting another week just to please the lady. my jobs pretty easy. and i'm thinking about trying to find a morning job. elaina isn't so keen on it cause she says thats less time she would have to spend with me. which i think is pretty sweet. but still for progress sake. we're planning on making a trip to utah in a couple weeks to pick up all our posessions. it should be nice to see some family. so i can't wait to depart. Dave Schwinderman, a long time family friend has also invited me to come hunting out at his house the second weekend in november. so thats another thing to look forward to. gotta love every turn.

Am i ready?

Well i was awoken yeaterday morning by my phone ringing. it was a heads up representative from Fedex, she asked if i had about a half hour so she could do an interview with me over the phone,so i spent the early hours on the phone in an interview than when i went to work to finish my last day of training. i had to go back to town and pee in cup. fun right. so anywho i survived and spent my last day of the week trying to suck up any more imformation like a sponge. Next week i'll probably pull some more hair out of my head trying to remember everything. it'll be worth it though.... i hope. But we are also looking forard to moving into our own house sometime in about the middle of the month so yeah for us. hopefully everything will continue to go well for us.

At Last.

Well all the excitement has finally ended for us and we are finally settling down after about a month of being gone. we got married in spokane washington. honeymooned in Canmore Alberta (thanks Smiths) :) and then finished off by spending two weeks in Vanderhoof. My wife has now seen the mother country, she would make smart remarks like, "oh you guys have houses i thought you lived in Igloos, oh i didn't know canadians used money, you have mountains wow this is interesting" so she enjoyed herself. and as for us it sweems like life seems to happen when we're busy making plans, as you all knew we we're planning on heading back to rexburg in January but a job has presented itself that is to good to turn down. it's with fedex. with full benifits and offering to pay part of my tuition. I had an interview this morning and it went well so i should know monday if i got the position. so wish us luck.

Um???????????

Well After school finished i headed home for 3 weeks that has now been cut down to 2 and a half. all the little kids have grown up which can mean only one thing. i'm old :( and can't do anything about it. i've been doing little chores around the house and working Deni's horse. who by the the way doesn't like me catching her. once the horse is caught she is just wonderful. so she has taken perminant residence while i'm here, on a teather rope. hahahahaha. i win. it's been good just relaxing. I had a part time job as soon as i got here though. mom's work was short on help, so my name came up and boom got a job. it was kinda nice. I've visited with friends, Baby sat. and worked while i was here. My Fiance says she can't wait for me to get back. she's tired of being lonely. here are some pics as always

Winding Down

Well it seems the older i get the faster time goes. i'm sure many of you have experienced this situation. Well i'm been engaged now for almost three and a half months. thats longer than any of my previous relationships. and i keep getting more and more tastes of what married life is all about. trying to make the other person happy. and sure that doesn't always work and the get mad at you for something you don't remember doing. i often hear myself say. "what did i do this time" then i kinda giggle and that makes matters worse for me. :) so much fun. but i'm also excited for whats to come. we have her dress bought. and our honeymoon booked. all i need now is my tux and to buy shirts for my brothers/ groomsmen. everything is falling into place nicely. i love it so much. the tip of the iceburg i know. soon enough there will be kids to worry about and an imature father to take care of them:) i can't wait. life looks good and i'm ready to keep grabbing it by the horns and wrestling it down.

We took some engagement pictures but can't figure out what we're gonna do with them. we have some ideas but that's were it stands. tell me what you think.

There and back again

Well the road trip is over and i'm kinda sad about that. i really enjoyed getting to spend more time with my fiance, and also getting to see her in various different situations and moods. but you should be happy to know we're still engaged and we're still going to the temple. so mom you can stop asking :)We left friday the 10th and got back today which is the 18th. we drove trough montana to Mennesota. which was during the night. and i did most of the driving. well i drove from 10 o'clock to 7 in the morning. i know 9 hours isn't that much but during the time i'm usually asleep. i thought it was impressive. so anyways we spent a couple days with her pregnant sister and brother inlaw. played tennis raquet ball volleyball and frisbi. had a barbq, went to a really good baseball game. and celebrated easter. so it was pretty cool. the highlight of my trip was visiting gramma and grampa. it was great. and i think they enjoyed meeting my fiance. and then when we tried to drive back we ended up hitting a snow storm in cheyenne Wyoming. which had closed the roads for 60 miles. so we ended up going around after we stayed at the best friend of one of elaina's aunts. small world

Woops

Well as everyone knows i have been donating plasma for the last 2 months. with out incident, (sorry kassie if i spelt that wrong) well i went in about two weeks ago to donate, and with my luck i got the new guy. yay. so anyways he's way nice and he's chatting up a storm with me. and i think it's pretty cool. well right when he sticks me he says...... uh oh. and i said uh oh? and he said, " your vein moved." lol really it can do that? so wierd. so any ways he completely misses but trys to re adjust, and does ok but in his words when he checked the flow of blow. " ...... it could.... be beter, so he moved the needle, and said the same thing in a repition of about 8 times. not even exagerating. so finally he calls someone else over and they do it in one try. go figure. but thats not even the bad part. i guess on the second or third try he scratched or punctured the wall of my vien on the other side. so i ended up with what you see in the picture. and the picture was the first day. it got even bigger and darker.

Elaina Lynne Duvall

So apparently according to my parents i havn't informed or written enough about Elaina. Dad said he wanted more pictures cause he couldn't tell what she looked like and that my family wants to know what she's like. what they don't know is that pretty much everyone but them and deni's family has met her in person already, So i promise i'm not trying to show her off or anything, just trying to make my parents happy. so here we go

Elaina Lynne Duvall, Born dec 31 1989 in her house, the mid wife got stuck in another town and couldn't get there to catch her when she came out. she is the youngest of three kids, the oldest being a boy named wayne, he's 25 married and has a little girl. and her sister Erin is 23 and married and is currently expecting a little boy. She grew up on a farm and kinda turned out to be a tomboy. she loves the outdoors and camping. i can't figure out this part. she's a germ freak with things like eating of of another plate or sharing a straw. yet she has no problem eating things off the floor or completing dares if money is evolved which would include such things as liking the floor on a school bus, sucking on someone's toe, etc, etc. So as you see i won't get that one for a while. She played baseball when she was younger, but where she really excelled was in band, she plays the trumpet and is extremly good. she went to nationals several times. She's scared to drive a big rig for parking reasons. don't get it but what ever. she has trouble seeing while she drives at night like dad does. she doesn't need makeup to be pretty. and she hates the color pink and swears that when we get married our kids won't wear it. (we'll see) She doesn't cook much but wants to learn. She's shy when you first meet her, but once she's comfortable she comes out of her shell and is very playful. She is 5'5" and a 132 lbs. with grean blue eyes. She likes computers and games. her family plays cards ( even her dad does.) so she kicks my trash at any kind of speed game. but i never was really that fast. which is kinda sad on my part but what can i do. We share many common interests and points of views, She loves seafood so you can take her to eat with you when you go to red lobster. I think i'm about out for right now.

Swimming

One thing i love to do is play in the water, And lately i've been doing that cause my apt has a pool. and people like to go swimming with me when i go. it's a lazy excuse for exercise but it works. Elaina and her roommates like swimming too. way fun

The Question

I'm Pretty Sure my whole family knows that i'm planning on getting married on the 22nd of August. we've already had to switch to the Spokane temple because the Columbia river temple will be in cleaning from the week before to the week after the date we chose. The funny part in the whole thing is that her mom is already planning things and it was her mom that called the temple and found out it was closed and then booked us with another temple. I think i don't have to worry about impressing the parents or end up like the protagonist in all those comedy movies where they meet the parents for the first time and barely escape with there lives and family jewels. anyways planning brings up tons of questions you had never thought about before like. for instance where will we live what will we do when this happens, when, where how and who. this instance it was who. I wasn't exactly sure so i called my dad. I know that the guy buys the girls ring. but does the girl buy the guys ring. As far as i know it's still debatable. These are the winners we've picked.

I'm enjoying the feeling of being needed, and spending all y spare time with Elaina. we've even managed to score some classes together for next semester. So things still look good and great and amazing.

Stress

I Love how there are just moments in life that catch you off gaurd, or that there is just so much happening at once and so many things to worry about and take care of that you want to scream and ripp your hair out( not that that would do me any good any ways)
Today was my day off so you would think i could sleep in today. guess again. not that i'm complaining, so don't think i am. i went to the bank deposited money. filled out forms for my student loans that i'm paying off( clear as mudd to understand those sheets, and mentally frustrating) Mailed it, went and selected classes for school that i'm gonna take. drove to Idaho Falls to put money in deni's bank money on dad's Home depot account, and the remainder of my paycheck in my account. now i'm checking up on my class schedule and books before i go cover someone elses shift at work for some extra cash in my wallet. but such is the life of an adult and i think i'm coping just fine. If i can make it through april i think i'll be sitting pretty and have fewer worrys. but i know that this is where i'm suppose to be and for that fact a way will be provided if i do my part.

Less Stress

Well since the whole plasma thing. things have been alot less stressful to think about, or deal with. Things with Elaina are still going amazing. I've never been more sure about something in my whole life. Work is still cutting back on people's hours. i guess i should be thankful i still have a job. but anywho. My roommates recently have thought it a fun game to attack me while i'm relaxing and try to wrestle me into submission. which usually doesn't last long cause i usally end up hurting one of them in someway or another. i'll just say they're kinda scared of my strength. I think it came from all that wrestling with an older brother. had to tuff quick or.... Suffer more i guess. lol those are some favorite memories i have with Cam. even tough i usually was on the recieving end of things. i still got him a couple times. Still love him. but like i said. not much happens here thats interesting. maybe funny. but not interesting.

Well what next.

This last week was pretty good to me. as most of you guys know i've been struggling to get enough hours at work and an even harder time locating another job, juggling searching between work and a girl friend. i had a good laugh the other day when i shared my concern with a fellow employee at work about my concerns about my next pay check being short some money that i would need to pay off bills let alone buy food to eat. What made it funny was one of the girls was eaves dropping and decided to give advice, she said " call your dad and tell him you need money." now thats why i giggled. the irony that most kids here have school handed to them on a silver platter and if you spend all your money... call dad. why didn't i think of that!!!!????? so i came across a plan that will give me an extra 50 bucks a week. i went into the plasma center, filled out papers, waited, got poked several times, and 3 hours later ( first time takes for ever) i walked out with 25 bucks. next time will only take like 45 minutes. lol last time i tried to go donate i wasn't aloud cause i had only been home for 5 months from my mission, and the requirement was 6. but anywho it was pretty cool i only got dizzy once when they started playing with the needle while it was in my arm. so that marks a first for me. and i also got to go on a road trip last weekend with my girlfriend. we went back to moses lake through Oregon, so naturally we stopped at Brett and Karens house so they could meet Elaina. and it turned out pretty cool. then the next day i got to meet all her freinds and parents. what an experiance. i followed her into her house. she takes off to her bed room to let me fend for myself against the parents. but all and all it was a good weekend. i even got hugs. wierd, not unwelcome but wierd. so my question is, What next? Who knows? i'll let you know when i find out. :)

wierd

Well not that anyone wants to know this but i thought it was pretty interesting and wierd and gross. So last night Elaina and I went with one of the guys in our apt with his date to IF (idaho falls). it was funny watching the two flirt. But anyways we ended up going to the mall for them and then we went and ate dinner at Red Robins. The food was way good, but the last bite made me feel wierd so i walked to the bathroom and when i got there i threw up involuntarily for the first time in over 13 years. it suprised me cause that wasn't my intention, I'm wondering if i'm balimic(if that's how you spell it). But i feel great today. thought i'd keep every one informed. things are going great. I'm loving the dating seen again and the wonderful company that Elaina gives me.

Well

So i talked to Mom and she asked that i update my blog since i'm dating someone again. and let everyone know whats happening in my life. her name is Elaina Lynne Duvall. i met her in Moses Lake while i was living there. When i moved down here we started doing things together and things just clicked, and now sparks are starting to fly. and i must say that i am enjoying the whole experience right now. she is someone who loves my humor ( never thought it possible) she is athletic, and musical. she enojoys the outdoors and guns like i do. she wants a big family (bonus) and she is way good with kids. when we were in utah she stayed up until 4 with raven and raven's friend talking and playing tricks on people. she is 5'5 and 125 lbs. dirty brown blonde hair down to her jaw line. gorgeous blue green eyes. and a cute little giggle. she has a hard time looking week. We were coming back from washing clothes today at a friends house. it had been snowing so the roads where kinda icy but not too bad. but anyways we hit a patch of black ice coming back and it put my truck into a fish tail. i kept control fairly well. but we did end up doing a 180 and ended up facing the other way. it scared her a little bit so when we got back she locked herself in the bathroom so i couldn't see her cry. i thought it was kinda cute. but she's the youngest of three. she has an older brother and sister. both married. oh and she has one niece. i think she is way pretty

Some of my pictures

Here are some they pictures taken while i was home

Changes

Well I've yet again moved. I was living with My aunt and uncle in Moses lake, Washington. It was a great time staying with them but i always get this feeling after a couple months that i'm intruding on the other peoples lifestyle. which i hope isn't entirely true (if thats how you spell it) But i made the move to Rexburg Idaho without any problems after a nice visit Canada. I got to spend alot of time with my brother before i left. it'll probably be a while before i go back or see cam again. so i hope time keeps both of my family segmants safe. But I have a job all lined up here, i'm working at the local wendy's which is pretty good. i'm enjoying it. i was scared though i applied at several locations and found out that the Arby's was hiring, so i filled out an application. then went back with my friend to pick up one for him and i guess all 200 applications they had printed had been given out. So I'm not the only one looking for a job. I have a great apt. I'm also the oldest i'm my apt. 4 of the other guys havn't even served a mission yet and the other served in mexico but got back only 6 months ago. i've been home for 2 years now. it was 2 years on the 4th of january. Where does the time fly away to? am i ever gonna get it back? oh well things are great. I'm healthy and things are as they should be. so no complaints
